Scrap metal fields can set most contemporary artists into a dreamy state, as a kid growing up without much, I remember turning my fingernail clippers into an imagined spaceship. Going to a scrap field only magnifies those simple morphed illusions into a musicians keyboard of unlimited compositions, and lacking repercussions of “Don’t touch that!” from your mother. Such as the super legit Sean Guerrero creating some stunning metal sculptures from car bumpers. His medium gives them a striking texture and drive-in-diner shine. The only setback of the scrap yard is staying focused on a project, so get into lotus position and manifest your illusions into reality just as Sean has done.

Sean makes his living off of his sculptures and is dabbling with video projects. His most requested sculptures are his eagles, horses and perhaps roosters.

Looks comfortable, right? A definite loveseat for the living room that that could get any couple stoked when watching Death Proof.

This Chief can set a positive vibe on your front lawn next to your gnome. Sean has been sculpting for some time and when the video on Current TV came up, it was a definite must for the CWOCA vault for all-time best upcycled sculptures ever produced.

Sean further debates, in his introduction, of growing up as a child he always love the cars of the 40′s and 50′s and instead of having these cars being pieced off, chopped up and smashed into a metal brick he feels preserving them in his stoic and fantasy creatures he welds together honors the great cars of the past. As always an artists passion brings something great to the table, and who knew your old rear end could make such a good shape.
