Jan Bloommaert is way out there and eccentric, check out his web page and spend an hour trying to navigate through it and be impressed with his published content.  These sculptures superimposed on scenic backgrounds makes me think of the Green Giant commercial and The Neverending Story wrapped into one.

thinking

The impressive part of his sculptures is the difficulty in deciding what unwanted materials he uses to make these sculptures.  One day I hope to give my knowledge to a future mini me.

Ready to seduce or in need of help?  Again the construction is brilliant and got to give props for the time involved with material gathering, design, superimposed pics, themes and idea time.

help

Perhaps the Family Guy mixed with the Matrix could make all of these characters into a new scifi cartoon comedy?

Not much info of Jan is out there, all we know is that he lives in Canada and has some great ideas.

Funky funky surrealistic stuff! Love it! Reminds me of anime characters like in Spirited Away
